Technician sign-in and switching organizations

Sign in first

Open the Technician app and sign in with the account you use for support. A new installation shows sign-in before asking you to choose an organization. Android uses Google sign-in through your browser; desktop and web offer the sign-in options shown on screen.

After signing in, Your organizations lists your active memberships, roles and pending invitations. Choose Connect for the client you want to support. An existing installation may reopen your last organization after verifying that you still have access.

Work with multiple organizations

Use Switch organization in the web or desktop navigation, or Organizations in the native app, to choose another client without signing out. Each workspace has its own devices, queue, sessions and permissions. Different browser windows can use different organization addresses.

Close open remote viewers before switching. Android requires this before it will switch. A web remote viewer stays with the organization in which you opened it. Return to the dashboard to switch.

Join an existing organization

Ask an owner or administrator to invite the exact verified email you use to sign in. Open Your organizations, refresh invitations and accept. Invitations expire after seven days. This release does not automatically send an invitation email, so the administrator should tell you when the invitation is ready.

Knowing an organization address does not grant access. If an invitation is missing, check the signed-in email and ask the administrator to verify or renew it. Do not create another organization to bypass access restrictions.

Create a separate organization

Choose Create organization when offered. Creating an organization makes you its owner and creates a separate workspace with its own seats and settings. Adding a membership or creating a workspace does not enroll or share your computer. Computer enrollment remains a separate action.

Manage and protect access

Owners and administrators manage invitations and memberships in Settings → Organization members. Only owners can manage owners and administrators. An organization must keep an active owner. Viewer access does not allow remote control.

Suspending or revoking membership removes access to that organization and ends its active sessions; the person's other memberships remain intact. An existing AI connection keeps its originally authorized organization and selected computers. Joining another organization does not expand that connection's permissions.

Keep your sign-in

Temporary connection failures preserve your saved sign-in. Retry when the service is available. Explicit sign-out or confirmed session revocation requires signing in again. Never share login tokens, private installers or credentials to solve an access problem.
